End of Summer & TOU Marathon...

Well I guess it is time to update. I usually like to wait 2 months, but since Nat told me to update, I will do it. I think I need to take a blogger 101 class though. My format is just not cute. So my summer has been pretty uneventful...here is a couple of pics of the really "exciting" things I did over the past month and half.
Me and some friends at the DEW tour....no I was not highly impressed by paying $16 to watch professional skateboarders.
Here is a pic of me at the State Fair...always fun. Although I was disappointed in the selection of people to look at this year.

And here is a beautiful pic of Lindy, me, & Becca at the Bees game. As you can see, summers are extremely busy and exciting in Salt Lake City. It is amazing I can fit all of this fun in one post.

On Saturday, I did a marathon. That is 26.2 miles. I thought this was common knowledge, but it is not. I have been asked over 20 times "how far" the marathon was. The best part of the marathon was running it with my sisters. No, wait, they ditched me before it even started. And my ipod broke on mile 2, so I really could have used some company. I did meet some guys on about mile 4 who kept me company until mile 13. They asked me how good the "beer garden" would be at the end. Not in Cache Valley, Bud. There instead of a beer garden were hundreds of children with signs for their moms. And husbands with roses. My husband will be in his Escalade with our 2 beautiful children with 2 dozen roses for me...next time.

Karlee, look at you! A blog update. I was beginning to think that you had given up on it. You are just perfect and beautiful in every picture. Now after reading the other comments I want to know how fast you ran - you little speedy.

Wow - a marathon - way to go. Just hearing the word makes me feel exhausted. It was good to read an update. (Jan)

I am so proud to have inspired this update, because it was a good one! I loved the pictures of your CRAZY summer in SLC. I've always wanted to attend the State Fair but just haven't ever made it down there. It looked thrilling! (And of course, you look beautiful.) You really should run the Boston Marathon. What an amazing accomplishment! Heck, I'll even contribute $20 to the Send Karlee to Boston Marathon Fund. Any other takers???

Nice to see an update! Way to go on running a marathon. I could never do it so I'm always impressed when I hear of others that run it.

Seriously, I've never ran a marathon or anything, but my mom has ran a few and her goal was always under 5 hours. Now I'm not saying that is fast or anything, but this is your first marathon, right? And you also ran the half marathon a month before. I think you ran freaking fast. How fast did your sisters run if they left you behind? I can't believe your ipod broke. I hate running without music. Do you plan to run more? Maybe I'll do a half with you sometime.

I totally should, but I don't know if I can in Dec. I can't be away from my baby boy that long because I'm nursing him. And I don't know if Ryan could take time off work to come with. How about next summer we go down to St George or something. I don't know when that one is. Either that or TOU again. How far do you think I have to be able to run during training to make it a whole 13 miles?
